A look at a day on retreat:

A thoughtful program of daily activities that will include the following:

Daily yoga flow

Strength Training that’s adapted to your level of ability

Interactive Health workshops exploring hormone health, digestion, the microbiome and your stress reponse

Mindful foraging walk

Restorative pre-dinner activities to get us into rest + digest mode (think breath work or sound bath)

Lots of free time for reading by the pool or in the hammocks by the river, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking, massages, hanging out with the (unofficial) emotional support animals - you can make it as active + adventurous or relaxing + restorative as you choose

    Options for single occupancy will be available for those who prefer their privacy.

    Farmhouse rooms have access to shared kitchen facilities and shared bathrooms.

  • Glamping Bell Tents if you’d like to fully immerse yourself in nature and wake to the sound of the river every morning.

    The tents have comfortable mattresses and space to hang some clothing.

    The shower block is a short walk from the tents next to the Dojo gym/ yoga space.

Quinta do Rabaçal is a beautifully renovated ancient hamlet nestled into the  stone terraces along the Mondego river. This is an area of special ecological interest and is in a protected nature zone. The Quinta (farm) is completely off the grid and produces its own organic food and green energy for power and heating.

Accommodation is provided in the beautifully renovated farm houses. There are various room options available. All farm houses include kitchen facilities - although all meals will be provided and enjoyed in the communal dining area.

All food is gluten free and dietary requirements can be catered for - local wine served with dinner

Marjolein -

Nutritional Therapist Hormone + Gut Health

Marjolein’s mission is to ensure that you are provided with the support and information you need to make great choices for your health. Marjolein’s approach is about including more nourishment and joy in your life rather than restriction. Marjolein focuses on the pillars of food, downtime and eco-system to support clients transform their lives.

In her 1:1 clinic Marjolein specialises in harmonising hormones and supporting clients with endometriosis, PMDD and PCOS to manage symptoms and stop their conditions derailing their lives.

Marjolein enjoys nothing more than people watching while indulging in an over priced coffee and will never say no to a trip to a botanical garden.

Marjolein will be running interactive health workshops during the retreat with a focus on gut health and stress.
